Everything about your billing

The annual consumption statement shows how much electricity you actually used in the previous billing period (usually 12 months).
There you'll find:
This comparison shows whether you have to pay something back or get a credit.
You will receive your annual statement once a year if you have concluded a fixed-price tariff. This happens for the first time in the 12th or 13th month after your delivery starts. In the statement, we compare how much electricity you have actually consumed with the advance payments you have made over the course of the year.
Remember:
You can decide for yourself how we handle a credit. You can see the amount in your invoice and then tell us which option you choose. Please get in touch in time so that your choice is taken into account.
In order for us to be able to calculate your actual consumption correctly, we need your current meter reading. If we do not have this, we estimate consumption based on the most recently reported meter readings.
The frequency with which you receive an invoice depends on the network operator and the tariff. Accordingly, there is no uniform, fixed billing cycle.
In principle, the following applies:
Important: For correct billing based on actual consumption data, we rely on the network operator's load profile data. These show exactly when and how much electricity you have consumed. Without this data, we cannot create consumption-based billing.
Even if you have a smart meter (intelligent measurement system), your network operator may only transmit standard load profiles. Then there is no hourly billing, but an annual billing with profile values.
For monthly, load-specific billing, your network operator must enable the transmission of measurement values (load profile data). If you want that, please contact your network operator directly.
The final bill is the last bill you will receive from us after your electricity supply by PLAN-B NET ZERO ENERGY has ended.
It contains your consumption up to the last delivery day and offsets this against the deductions you have already paid. This is how you can see whether you still have to pay something back or whether there is a credit balance that we will pay out or offset you.
An interim statement is a type of “stopover”: Your consumption is billed by a specific date without a whole year having already passed. This happens, for example, when you move or change providers. The deductions paid up to that point are offset against the calculated consumption balance — this may result in a credit balance or an additional payment.
Your consumption is combined with the respective stock market prices in the billing period — the basis is data from your network operator. For dynamic tariff billing, we use the consumption data that your network operator sends us.
That means:
• Your consumption is divided over time (e.g. on a daily basis, possibly at smaller intervals).
• The respective stock market prices are used for these periods.
• This results in your individual work price in the billing period.
Even if you have a smart meter, we can only bill as precisely as your network operator provides data. Complete, hourly billing requires an activated intelligent measurement system (iMS), which transmits load profile data to us.
Your statement will estimate consumption if we do not have current meter readings.
If we needed to estimate your consumption, you can tell by a note like “extra/interpolation” in the legend of your bill — meaning that consumption was calculated using an estimate of your annual consumption forecast. As soon as you provide us with current meter readings, we can adjust the bill accordingly so that it better reflects your actual consumption.
(Please note that the figures used here are for illustrative purposes only)
Imagine that your billing cycle ends on June 30, but we haven't received a current meter reading from you or your network provider up to that point.
So that your statement can still be created, consumption is estimated.
For example:
• Your annual consumption forecast is 3,600 kWh.
• For half a year, we would therefore set around 1,800 kWh.
• On the invoice, you will then find the note “Extra/Interpolation” in the legend — this shows you that this value has been estimated.
As soon as you send us a current meter reading — e.g. 1,650 kWh instead of the estimated 1,800 kWh — we can adjust the bill. In this way, it correctly reflects your actual consumption, and you pay exactly what you have actually consumed.
All of our customer communication is now only digital.
For reasons of sustainability, we avoid as much paper and shipping costs as possible. You will therefore receive all mail from us via email and in our customer portal — including, of course, your discounted and annual statement.
Why paperless is good for the environment and sustainability:
• Digital invoices save paper, printing and shipping — and therefore resources and CO₂.
• Less paper means less waste and energy consumption.
• With your consent, you are helping to reduce your environmental footprint.
Yes, you can find all invoices in the customer portal. There you can view and download previous and current statements.
Manage your contract flexibly, whether on the go or at home.
With our app, you can easily submit meter readings, adjust your payments, access invoices, and much more.
